Exhibition Coordination

Veera’s daily work crosses between working as a ‘Coordinator’, ‘Curator’ and ‘Cultural Producer’. She is responsible for Galleria Kuvitus’ illustration gallery exhibition program production and communications. She also takes care of the curatorial processes, including exhibition development and programming – and in some exhibitions, the deeper curatorial work understood as a practice centered on longer-term, less object-orientated, discursive-educational thinking. Learn more about the curated exhibitions.

Previously, Veera has worked as an exhibitions coordinator on a range of large-scale contemporary arts and exhibition projects in different galleries, museums, fairs and the University of the Arts Helsinki’s Academy of Fine Arts.

The Cube

ArtHelsinki 2016

The Cube is a white being that offers an opportunity for non-verbal encounters through the sense of touch. The work invites people to face what is unfamiliar – the otherness that can also be found within ourselves. The idea for the work originates from the desire of the team of artists to make it possible to see and experience art’s ability to touch us, both physically and mentally; and from the desire to make visible the norms and boundaries built between us.

Team: Katri Kauppala, Salla Keskinen, Esa Kytösaho and Eero Yrjölä.
